Media Asset has been a wonderfully, delightful class. I was pleased to learn more and feel more confident about copyright laws and Fair Use and ab-so-lutely thrilled to learn all about Creative Commons!

week 4: Seven Things You Should Know about Creative Commons

The article linked to the title above tells important information about Creative Commons. I find it quite interesting that it is tauted as a time saver for teachers and education as it will decrease the amount of time spent to find material, request permission for use of materials that have a copyright, and reduce the time spent attempting to justify using certain materials under Fair Use. It can certainly aid those educators that want to include up-to-date materials in their classroom without the hassle with those never-ending permission issues.

I just need to blow off a little steam. I am sitting here in one of spare rooms, trying to get this thesis done. What I thought was a great idea just two months ago, is starting to seem undoable! I know I will get my thesis done... I hope, but right now I am feeling the pressure. Looking back at the first day of this class, I thought I would figure out what media I plan to use for my media presentation, but all that has been consuming my thoughts is this thesis I have to turn in a week from tomorrow. I hope I am not the only one feeling this way, but I feel that my successful completion of this program is up in the air. Thanks for letting me rant. JUST ME RANTING!8/22/09
